Your Rights and Opt-Out Instructions
Planning a dry-stone wall or a rockery from our guides needs no account and no form. You only hand us personal details when you ask for a quote, and even then a rough plot size and a reply address are enough. You can keep cookies switched off (the Cookie Policy explains how), and you can ask us at any time to erase what you sent earlier, including site photos you attached to an enquiry. To make that request, use the details on our Contact page. We will process your request promptly.
What you might send us
Most enquiries arrive through the contact form and include a name, an email address and a short description of the garden. Many people also send photographs of a wall, a slope or existing stone, and some mention the address of the property so we can judge travel time from Nagoya. We only ask for what we need to understand the site and arrange a visit.
Site photographs and wall records
Photographs and measurements taken during a wall condition review (joint widths, lean, the depth reached in a trial hole) form part of the written plan we give you. We keep a copy so that, if you ask us back in a later season, we can compare the wall against its earlier state. These records describe the structure, not you, but because they are tied to a property address we treat them as personal information under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI).
Who sees your details
- Only the people at Crag Lab Blend who prepare your walkthrough, review or layout plan.
- A contractor you choose, but only when you ask us to send them the drawing or specification, and only the documents you name.
- Our email and web hosting providers, which store messages on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality terms.
- Nobody else. We do not share enquiry details with stone suppliers or quarries, and we never sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a visit are deleted within twelve months. Plans, photographs and measurements from completed work are kept for five years, because walls and rockeries change slowly and an earlier record is often the most useful thing we can offer when a client calls about movement. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time.
Making a request
To see, correct or delete what we hold, or to ask us to stop using it, email info@crag-labblend.com or write to Crag Lab Blend, 5-10-17 Shimizu, Kita-ku, Nagoya, Aichi 462-0844. We will confirm who you are in a proportionate way and reply within two weeks. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan.
Photographs of neighbouring property
Pictures of a wall sometimes show part of a neighbour's garden or house. We crop or avoid those details where we can, and we never use client photographs on this website or anywhere else without written permission from the owner.
Contact preferences
If you would rather we phoned than emailed, say so in your message and we will note it. We will not add your address to a mailing list or send you anything you did not ask for.
